Who We Are

Forged from Water and Fire, HIBORN is born of these Islands – Kamaʻāina, raised on this same ground. We are the sons and daughters of Hawaiʻi, every lineage that has put down roots in these Islands and called them home. We honor the elements and the ancestors who shaped this land, and we stand together as one people who carry her forward. We lead with precision and hold to the highest standard of performance, yet every project is rooted in Kuleana – our responsibility to this ʻĀina and to one another. Each is guided by what is Pono: right for the ʻĀina, the Kamaʻāina, and the future of Hawaiʻi.

Welcome to HIBORN.

We want to see the people of Hawaii thriving, succeeding, and living healthy lives. We will stop at nothing to ensure this dream becomes a reality.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've worked closely with HIBORN across multiple real estate transactions and job sites on the Big Island (Hawaiʻi )Kailua-Kona, Miloli'i, Nāʻālehu, HOVE, Punaluu, and Discovery Harbor. When a property needs tree work, land clearing, or site prep before closing, HIBORN is who I call. The work is done right, on schedule, and with zero drama. Makani even came out personally to prune my mango tree; same level of care and professionalism regardless of the job size. That consistency is everything in real estate. HIBORN is trustworthy, deeply knowledgeable about land and arboriculture in Hawaiʻi, and genuinely easy to work with. If you own or manage property on the Big Island or Hawaiʻi , HIBORN should be your first call.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Makani came out to my condo in Waikiki and pruned my plumeria, bougainvillea, and aloe vera. He also performed integrated pest management (IPM) and treated everything with the same care and attention you'd expect on a much larger project. Everything was cleaned up perfectly when he was done. It's rare to find someone that skilled who also takes the time to do the small jobs right. Trustworthy, professional, and genuinely passionate about what he does. Highly recommend HIBORN for any plant or tree care, big or small.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. HIBORN did an outstanding job clearing large ironwood and eucalyptus trees from our property in Makawao. The crew was professional, punctual, and handled everything safely from start to finish, including a thorough cleanup. It was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. Reno Makani was easy to communicate with and provided a fair, straightforward quote with no surprises. It’s not always easy, and in my experience, it’s actually pretty hard to find a person or company you can truly trust to manage your property and projects. However, HIBORN delivered on every level and made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. It's also nice to be treated by a true local company in Hawaii. I highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable, high-quality tree work.
